Mandala Painting Meditation

Mandalas are centering and meditative. They can bring you home to your heart. Participants will draw and paint on a 12"x12" wood support, ideal for a smooth surface and using a compass drawing. All Supplies Included. Address given upon registration.

Workshop Format:

Part 1: In this class you will learn to make compass geometry and use straight edges with various mark making tools to create the foundation for an original design. In the beginning, the geometry and design work are researched and thought out. You will be guided in the steps needed to draw various patterns each class. 

Intermission: Bring a snack or lunch for yourself and feel free to take a moment to step away and take a short walk on the land to refresh yourself. A brief Gong Bath meditation will help center and relax you as you transition to painting.

Part 2: Then paint your drawing with acrylics to make a vivid colorful piece of art. The process brings you deeply into the heart from the mind. As you progress from drawing to painting, you may relax into an altered state enjoying texture and color with the planned composition out of the way. Naturally allow yourself to drop into creating a mandala that may be used for an altar, crystal grids or simply for enhancing your space.

Enjoy one class or come as a monthly practice to enjoy delevoping this meditative art over time for added complexity and skill.
